As far as former soldier and Senator Rodolfo Biazon is concerned, the revocation of the amnesty granted to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV has no legal basis.
"Palagay ko'y walang basehan [ang revocation ng amnesty]," Biazon told Super Radyo dzBB in an interview.
The President cited a certification from the Armed Forces of the Philippines' Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel that there is no available copy of Trillanes' application for amnesty.
But if the grant of amnesty to Trillanes was wrong from the very beginning, Biazon said that the same reprieve given to other military officials could have been erroneous as well.
